My name is Cory Johnstone. Wyfi Marketing is me, working out of a home office in Cambridge, building websites and running marketing for contractors and small businesses around Minnesota since 2023. When you call, I answer. When something gets built, I built it.
Wyfi Marketing started in 2023. Before that I was building things for other people and watching small businesses around here get sold marketing that did not work, by companies that were never going to drive out and look at the job site. One of the agencies charging a family member of mine five thousand dollars a month was doing less work than I do for fifteen hundred. That is roughly the whole origin story.
I am from North Branch originally. I bought a house in Cambridge, which is where the office is, and my fiancee Ashlyn handles the production side of the photo and video work. That is the company. There is no office downtown, no sales team, no account managers, and no overseas contractors marking up work before it reaches you.
I want to be straight about what that means, because it cuts both ways. You get the person who does the work, every time, with no handoffs and no game of telephone between a strategist, a project manager and whoever actually touches your account. You also get one person's capacity, which is why I take on a limited number of monthly clients and will tell you if I am full rather than sign you and do a worse job.
If you are comparing Wyfi to a Minneapolis agency with thirty staff, these are the real differences. Some of them will suit you and some of them will not.
The big agencies around the Twin Cities start at $2,800 a month for SEO on its own, and $12,000 for a templated website. There are four people being paid out of that before anyone touches your account. Here $1,500 a month covers SEO, Google Ads, Meta ads, the profile and the tracking, because the money goes into the work instead of the building.
Website, local SEO, Google Ads, Meta ads, branding, print, photography and video. When the SEO needs a page built it gets built that afternoon, instead of becoming a ticket for a developer at another company. Most agencies this size subcontract half that list. Most agencies that size do not own a camera at all.
Reporting here is written in sentences, same format every month, and when a month was poor it says so and says what is changing. Our results page names every client and refuses to claim revenue we cannot prove. That is a deliberately harder standard than the industry uses.
Not every client buys all of it. Most start with one thing and add the rest once it is working.
Built for the business rather than bought off a marketplace, with the copy written for you and the local SEO set up before it launches. $3,500 to $6,500 for most builds.
The map pack work, service pages that target what people actually search, and the content behind it. The slowest to pay off and usually the most valuable.
Managed inside the monthly packages with tracking wired properly, so a lead gets counted once. 323 tracked leads on $20,580 of managed spend across twelve months.
I take the photos myself and Ashlyn handles production. Real job sites, real crews, cut for the website, the profile and the ads. Almost no marketing agency offers this.
Logo and identity work, plus everything it has to live on: trucks, signs, shirts, cards and booklets. Designed so it still holds together in three years.
The numbers are on the site because you should be able to work out whether we are in your range without booking a call to find out. Most agencies around here will not do that.
Working in a specific trade? See roofing, HVAC and electrical, concrete, plumbing, landscaping or general contracting.
Marketing work happens anywhere. Photography and anything that needs me standing on your job site works best inside a reasonable drive, which covers a lot more of this state than people expect.
Cambridge, Isanti, Princeton, North Branch, Braham, Milaca, Mora, Harris, Rush City, Forest Lake, Elk River, Zimmerman, Big Lake, Andover, Anoka, Blaine, Coon Rapids, Ham Lake, Lino Lakes and the rest of Isanti, Chisago, Sherburne, Anoka and Pine counties. This is the corridor the business is built around, and it is noticeably underserved. The agencies that advertise here are almost all in Minneapolis and almost none of them will drive up.
Websites, SEO and ad management do not care where you are, and we have clients across the state. St. Cloud, the metro, Duluth, Rochester, Winona, Alexandria and Red Wing are all workable. If a shoot is involved it just factors into the quote rather than being a problem.
Most agencies around here make you get on a call before they will tell you a number. These are the numbers. If they are not in your range, you have saved us both an hour.
One-time project. Most Minnesota small business sites land in here.
For a business with a decent site that needs the phone to ring.
Everything, including me on site with a camera twice a month.
Month to month, no contracts. For SEO we recommend giving it at least six months, because that is how long it takes to be worth judging. If you would rather commit to twelve months, two on-site photo and video shoots are included at no charge.
Yes. Me, plus Ashlyn on the production side of photo and video. I would rather you knew that up front than found out in month three. The upside is that nothing gets handed off and nobody is learning your business on your dime. The downside is capacity, which is why I cap the number of monthly clients and will tell you if I am full.
Campaigns keep running, because they are set up to. What pauses is new build work, and you get told in advance rather than wondering why nobody replied. If something breaks while I am away I deal with it. Campaigns do not stop when I take a week off, and you hear about build work pausing before it pauses, but in practice the thing that goes wrong at a big agency is not coverage, it is that nobody there knows your account.
That is the plan, and when it happens it will be by hiring properly rather than by stacking on more clients than one person can serve. The pricing is what it is because of how this is built today. If that changes, existing clients find out from me before they find out from an invoice.
A bigger agency gives you a team, formal account management and a building full of people, and you are comfortable paying $2,800 a month and up for one service. Pick Wyfi if you want the person doing the work to be the person you talk to, you want website, SEO, ads, branding and photography from one place, and you would rather the budget went into the work. Both are legitimate. They are just different things.
No. Contractors and trades are most of the roster because that is what this corner of Minnesota is made of, but there is a gym, a cannabis cultivator, a grinding and sharpening business and others. If you are a local business that needs to be found and needs to look the part, the work is the same shape.
No. Monthly plans are month to month and you can leave any month. I ask for six months on SEO as a recommendation, because that is honestly how long it takes to judge it fairly, but it is a recommendation and not a lock. Websites are yours outright once paid, and if you leave you take the domain, the hosting and the files. Nothing is held hostage. Full detail on the pricing page.
